Austin Manuel’s New LP ‘Up The Ridge’ Out 7/22 | Catch Him Aug. 6 @ The Basement

From No Country For New Nashville's Lorie Liebig:

Last year was a big one for local singer-songwriter Austin Manuel. We gave you exclusive premieres of his stellar tracks “I Just Want You To Love Me” and “Sue in Blue,” and now he’s back with even more. Today, his new LP, Up the Ridge, is available for download through NoiseTrade and is streaming from Spotify after the jump. If you’re a fan of emotional Americana with an alternative edge, this is an album you have to hear.

After you finish putting Up the Ridge on repeat, mark your calendars for Manuel’s album release show at The Basement on Aug. 6. The show starts at 7 p.m. and features an opening set from fellow local talent Jason Staebler’s ambient folk-pop act Good Buddy. Tickets are only $5, which is a total steal for a night of music this good.

NoiseTrade premieres Up The Ridge

TODAY my album Up The Ridge is available exclusivelyon NoiseTrade.com for a limited time before the official release in July.

I've been holding onto this record for quite some time trying to figure out the best way to get it out to you and the world because I am sufficiently proud of it. I've come to the conclusion that there is no best or right way, but it is important to do it some way. So I am doing it this way because it is time to let more people hear this record, and it is time for me to move forward creatively. So please, go download the record, jam it on the highway, tell your friends, and get excited for the official release later this summer.

November 2015 Update

Hi. Thanks for the visit. Thought I'd share what all is going on in a little post. Got some new music, some tour dates to announce, and a cool t-shirt that would look really good on you.  ;)

NEW MERCHANDISE: I have these Dream Country T-shirts for sale. They are extremely good-looking and comfortable. Softer than a baby lamb and dreamier than a bed of clouds. Design inspired by the vision we had to describe the sound we were chasing while in the studio (the Glass Onion) recording Up The Ridge. The vision for the sound was the pursuit of a cinematic sunset while driving down a country highway. We called this vision Dream Country.

$25 online includes shipping within the US. Hand-drawn design by my friend Sam at Brothers Design Company.
