SAN FRANCISCO @the_ritespot on March 22 (next Thursday!)
CULVER CITY @thecinemabar_ on April 10 (a Tuesday)
Been writing a lot. Here is a newer one. Inspired from driving around LA to decompress; Tom Petty, who passed on my first full day living here while I was driving out to Malibu with my friend, Ian Pershodnitz; that Lucinda Williams song “Ventura,” which my friend, Justin Clark, showed me while driving the 101; a cafe in Topanga; the whirlwind of life and riding the wave. Got to premiere it at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville and then recorded this vid in a New York hotel room a few weeks back. ***edit/backspace on self-deprecation: This song and others I’ve been constructing in my stairwell office will be released as a record at some point, but no idea yet on how/when,*** so enjoy this snippet and pray for me to find a way sometime soon. 🛣
Birthday weekend was a blast. Thanks, LA. This year sucked balls and was really great. #30 #life 🌊🏄🏼♂️

NEW YORK, old me #sbs (sling back Sunday) - I’ll be back @rockwoodmusichall NEXT SUN, Feb 25 at 11 PM. Let’s hang 🤙🏼.
NASHVILLE, I’m hitching a ride home and playing The Bluebird Café next Thursday, Feb 22 at 6 PM via @muscornernash with @erinraemusic @joshgilligan @joseph_bradshaw. Trying out new songs.
First time playing a set at the @bluebirdcafetn besides an open mic I hit up like eight years ago when my friend, Eilidh Patterson, was visiting from Belfast. Home for two nights. Expect to find me later this night eating a cheeseburger at @dinosnashville.

I bought this record tonight at a record store while on a break from work for Granddaddy Mack. Jim Reeves was his favorite. The record features “Moon River,” which I have not been able to find since he died (it’s not on Spotify). He had dementia and forgot most everything, but he knew every word of Jim Reeves. I once recorded a conversation I had with him using Voice Memos as he and I listened to and talked about Jim Reeves and missing Gran, who had passed a few months prior. I remember leaving him that day and driving home with “Moon River” by Jim Reeves in my head and then throwing myself on my mother’s kitchen floor sobbing crying because of how much I was gonna miss him and already did. Anyway that whole memory lead to a song I wrote called “Sue in Blue” #shoutout (sorry for the shout out). Thanks for letting me share the story.
You’re not gone; you are everywhere. I went to church and the gym today to be with you. Happy birthday. #63
